This is the most unusual thing about JobPuul, and the one people misread most often, so it is worth being precise.
One identity, one setting
Applying for a permanent role and taking on contract work are the same profile, not two accounts on two products. The same person, the same history.
On your profile there is a single control, "Work you take on", with four values:

Most platforms make you choose the account, not the setting. You are either a candidate on a jobs board or a freelancer on a marketplace, and if you do both you keep two profiles that know nothing about each other. That mirrors how hiring worked twenty years ago, not how work happens now.
What the setting does
It is a signal, not a switch. Someone searching for contractors can filter on it, so choosing Contract work — or Employment or contract work — is how you turn up in that search.
Be clear about what it does not do:
- It does not hide you. Someone browsing profiles without that filter still sees you, whatever the setting says. Discovery is controlled by your visibility setting — see Getting started — not by this one.
- It does not change your listings. Choosing Employment does not unpublish your service offerings; they stay exactly as they are.
- It does not split your history. Work you did as a contractor is not hidden from an employer, and vice versa. That is the point.
Changing it
Change it as often as you like. Nothing is deleted, nothing is archived, and your applications and offerings are untouched.
