Every open role on JobPuul is listed under Jobs, with its pay shown up front. This article covers searching and filtering that list, the map, what a job's page shows, and saving jobs to come back to.
Searching
Type into Search jobs and choose Apply filters. The search looks at a job's title, its skills, the company's name, the description and the cities it is in. Accents and capital letters do not matter, and a search needs at least two characters.
Skills match in every language JobPuul is in, so a search typed in Czech finds a job whose skills were added in English, and the other way round.
If nothing matches, we look once more allowing for a typo in the job title or the company name. Put a minus sign in front of a word to leave out jobs that mention it.
When you search, the best matches come first. Without a search, the newest listings come first.
Filtering by skill
The Skills field narrows the list to jobs that need particular skills:
- Start typing a skill, in any language.
- Pick it from Matching skills. It appears as a chip above the field.
- Add more if you like, up to five. A job has to list every skill you pick.
Jobs that list your skills higher up, and as Required rather than Nice to have, rank first. Text that is not on our list of skills shows as "(no such skill)" and matches nothing, so remove that chip to see results again.
Filtering by place
- Location: type a city or a country and pick it from the suggestions, or choose Use my current location. A country finds jobs worked there and remote jobs open to people who live there.
- Distance: Only this location, or within 5 to 100 km of the place you picked. Each result then shows roughly how far away it is.
- Order: Nearest first needs a distance.
- Remote only: just the fully remote roles.
Filtering by job type and pay
- Employment type: tick any of Full-time, Part-time, Contract and Internship.
- Pay currency, Pay period and Pay at least.
Pay is compared only within one currency and one pay period. We never convert between them, so choose both before you filter by pay or order by Highest pay. "Pay at least" finds jobs whose range reaches your figure: a job paying 40,000 to 60,000 appears when you ask for 50,000.
Clear filters starts again. Your filters are part of the page address, so you can bookmark a search or send it to someone.
The map
Next to the results, Map shows the jobs that have a place of work, and List goes back. Move or zoom the map and the list below shows what is in view. Remote jobs have no place on the map, so a note under it counts the results it leaves out, with a link to the full list.
A job's page
A job's page shows its location, its Compensation, About the role, and the skills it asks for, each marked Required or Nice to have. The Posted by card names the company, with a badge if it has proved it owns its domain (see Verifying a company).
Share opens your device's share menu where there is one, and otherwise copies the link.
To apply, see Applying for a job. Signed out, the page shows Sign in to apply instead.
Saving jobs
Signed in, choose Save job on a job's page, or the bookmark on a job in the list. Saved jobs wait for you under Workspace → Saved jobs, newest first. Only you can see your list. You can keep up to 200 jobs there, and only jobs can be saved.
To unsave a job, press the same button again. On the saved list, a job you unsave stays in place until you next open the page, so a slip is one click to undo.
A listing that closes stays on your list with its title and company, marked closed, but no longer links anywhere. One that was taken down shows as "Job no longer available". You can remove either with Remove; it asks first, because neither can be saved again.
