Finding services

Last updated November 5, 2026

Services is the directory of everything people and companies offer on JobPuul. This article explains how to search it, narrow it down, and read a listing.

What is listed

Every published listing whose provider is public: a company, or a person whose profile is public. Drafts never appear, and neither do the listings of a person whose profile is unlisted. You do not need an account to browse; you need one to get in touch.

Without a search, the newest listings come first.

Type into Search and choose Apply filters. A search looks at a listing's title, category, description and city, at the provider's name, and at the names of the skills it carries — in any language we have the skill in, so a search in Czech finds a listing tagged in English. A search needs at least two characters.

Words match from their start, so "design" also finds "designer". You can put a phrase in quotes, or put a minus sign before a word to leave out listings that mention it. If nothing matches, we try again allowing for a small typo.

Category and skills

Category narrows the list to one kind of work. Pick the one you would expect a provider to choose; see Offering services for how they think about it.

Skills takes up to five skills, typed in any language. A listing has to carry every skill you add, so each one narrows the list further. A skill we do not have shows as "(no such skill)", and the list stays empty until you remove it.

Once you search or add a skill, the best matches come first.

Location and distance

  • Location takes a city and country, or Use my current location. On its own it finds listings in that place.
  • Distance widens it to within 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 km. Pick the place from the suggestions first: distance needs a place we recognise.
  • Order can then be Nearest first. Each result says roughly how far away it is.
  • Remote only shows only work done remotely. Remote listings have no place, so a distance does not apply to them.
  • Offered by someone available now keeps listings from people who say they are looking for work and have no start date still ahead. Companies do not state availability, so their listings drop out under this filter.

Clear filters starts again.

On a map

The List and Map switch above the results shows the same search on a map. Listings with no place on the map — remote ones, and those in a city we do not recognise — are counted in a note under it rather than drawn.

The listing page

Choose a listing to open its page. It shows:

  • the title, category, price and where the work is done. "Contact for a quote" means the provider set no price;
  • Offered by: the person or company, linked to their page. A Verified badge beside a company means it has proved it controls its domain — see Verifying a company;
  • About this service: the provider's full description;
  • the skills the listing carries;
  • Share, to copy its link, and a link to report it.

Contact about this starts an enquiry — see Enquiries. If you have already written about this listing, the enquiry page links to that conversation instead.

Companies

To find a business rather than a single offer, Companies lists every company with the categories it offers services in — see Creating a company.
